A Watermelon Margarita is one of the most refreshing and delicious cocktails on a warm day. And this cocktail is extra special because I made it for Cinco de Mayo! It refreshing, spicy, minty and hits you just right!
Makes 2 Cocktails
5 oz Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila (you can substitute a blanco tequila if you don't want the spice)
1.5 cups watermelon chunks
Juice of 2 small or 1 large lime
1 sprig mint (about 5 leaves)
1.75 oz agave nectar
Add mint to cocktail shaker and with a muddler smash it down until it breaks down the leaves and you have a fresh aroma.
Add watermelon and with muddler smash it down until it is mostly juice with very tiny chunks.
Add lime juice, tequila, agave and lots of ice. Shake vigorously
Pour into 2 cocktail glasses. Add more ice if needed.
